Default Re: '69 Vette sidepipe repair question??

Pantera,

I believe it is the side pipe covers you are referring to, so, there are a couple of options if you want to stick with the originals. Librandi's Plating (Harrisburg/Middletown, PA) has a reputation for quality work and I have spoken to a few guys that have had their 69 covers re-chromed with excellent results. You would then just repaint the black between the ribs. As you know, the results would most likely depend on how badly pitted the covers are. Another option would be to buy a new set. Paragon Corvette Reproductions reproduces them from the original tooling and they are beautiful. I have a set on my 69 Vette and am very pleased. They are, however, very pricey (IMHO) and come in around $1800.00 for the pair.
