In no way was I trying to start a debate I was just commenting that the photo looks like it was taken from a much lower altitude. Both the SR-71, U-2 and WB-57 all are capable of flying at 100,000+ feet and at least two can fly to the upper fringes of our atmosphere where it is nearly dark. I have seen both photos and documentary's on both aircraft and I will be damned if I can find just ONE photo on the net taken from either aircraft. I did however find this link
Space shuttle photo myth I promise they can take photos that appear much higher than what these photos appear to be taken from. Very neat pictures none the less.
