I was dealing with a fellow in Washington State who was trying to spec trucks for first response forest fire fighting, and at the time, the 2000 Chev and GMC were the only ones with a narrow enough track to fit where log skidders had been.
I'll try and dig his info up for you. He had looked at conversions and other options.
You could also look at the outfits that convert trucks to run on railroad tracks, as their track width has to match the rails.
