Best bet is to get hold of Canada Customs and your US counterpart. With all the terrorism stuff, rules seem to keep changing. They will have the final say and you will be dealing with them sooner or later. Better sooner. Bringing a car into Canada, Canada Customs wants the paperwork ahead of time, otherwise you will be sitting there for a day or two.
