Mark,
Iw ould think the difficulty would be with transportation and avoiding damage after you have finished restoration. I know that a number of the reproduction parts seem to be a lighter gauge of metal and much more susceptibla to damage while installing, so at least for me restored original stainless is worth more than the repops.
