I agree with Freddie, the replacement GM & aftermarket clutch plates with the “ear” or paddle type plate don’t seem to work as well IMO, & I’ve seen a lot of them broken after disassembly . The earlier 360* version was trouble free.
We used a lot of GM posi,s in 12 second street type cars in the 70,s and they weren’t a issue, what usually broke were the GM axles.
