I knew the man In Texas that owned this car. If I think about it long enough,I will remember his last name. His first was Mike.He was a big fan of the Berger cars. Last time I talked with him was probably the late 90's,I believe. I called him and talked to him about my old Berger Copo and the Berger cars in general. He seemed to have the vin and body numbers on my car, he got very excited when I told them what they were. He told me when we got of the phone to call Ed Cuneen, which I did. If I remember correctly, Ed already had the numbers too. Mike called me a day or to later and asked if Ed was going to certify my cars numbers and what did he charge me. He laughed and said Ed should give him a cut on having the Berger numbers. I always wondered if Mike had given some of them to him.Mike seemed to have contacts at Berger, I think he and Matt were friends.
Later on, Mike purchased a 485hp Berger Camaro and had Berger take the car apart and paint it Daytona Yellow to match his 69. He brought the 69 up from Texas to the Labor day show and took delivery of the new one.
