Hi Bill,

That darn garden hose bracket.

I had the dent massaged out by a “paintless dent removal” guy here in town.

I was apprehensive until the guy shows up in his 1969 El Camino.
We talked about his years of experience in this craft and he informed me that the old automobiles have a thicker metal than the new cars he usually works on and he couldn’t guarantee success.

I said go for it.

The crease was about an 1/8’’ deep.

He had me remove the headlamps as he positioned a heat gun along with a heat lamp to warm the fender.
He then used a long tool from the inside to work out the dent. Amazing.

He was 100% successful. It’s just a scratch in the paint now.

Check out the ‘65 stamped date in the front fender headlamp reinforcement.
