I agree with you Mark. here is nothing wrong with the way that car is optioned just the way it is.
Although I can't tell if it was born a 250hp or 300hp. The carb set-up is correct for a 300hp, but I can't find evidence of a factory tach or sender, which would have been there with the 300hp-4-spd combination.
I actually had a magazine editor ask me to find a '62 Belair Sport Coupe for a feature that
wasn't a 409 car! They just don't exist.

I take that back. It has the hole in the firewall for the tach harness! Inner fender shows no holes for the sender though.
Try to find that correct tach harness grommet!
