If my memory is correct.....
According to Warren's research they only made 100 fiberglass hood assemblies. That included the hood, prop rod and the hood pin assemblies.
I know the hood pins could be purchased separately but don't recall about the prop rod.
Would have to dig up copies of the Chevrolet "Green sheet" for each year to see what was available when?
I will say the hood was clearly intended for the Trans am racers because of the oval hole to meet the cross ram air cleaner.
The rules changed for 1970; multiple carburetors were no longer allowed in Trans am.
I will add that there were TWO hood adapters; one for the small block and another for the big block.
That tells me they thought it may be used on drag cars as well?
The air cleaner was specific for this application.
These were service parts so they could be purchased and used however the buyer chose to do so.
Be careful as some air cleaners and prop rods have been reproduced over the years.......
