I have a partial NOS GM 3957990 gasket set here which includes one correct assembly line silver painted cork valve cover gasket and one 3863199 head gasket, also stamped Mc6688, all as shown, just the two pieces - this set was opened years ago, and used to R&R one BBC head. Fits all the 396, 427, and 454 motors of course.

Valve / rocker cover gasket still perfect and perfectly flexible and pliable / NOT hard - see demo shown in last photo. Assembly line piece! Rare / hard to find anymore.
