Not to minimize what happened to Jay, but in an attempt to add some levity to an otherwise serious news item:

I do catch myself on fire with some regularity. Typically it is as I am trying to get my propane heater going in the back garage, if it conks out as I try to get it to relight it will "phoof" a little fireball.

I typically don't notice until I come back in the house and the ladies look at me funny, then I realize my eyebrows or the hair of my beard will be singed on one side of my face.

I came in one time and they had drawn a clock on the chalkboard that said "Days since Dad Has Caught Himself on Fire", set to "zero".
