The Olds looks great,just as I remembered it. A lot of the underside will clean up with a solvent like Wash n Wipe. I use it in a spray bottle and lots of disposable rags. After that cleanup spray on Boeshield T-9 for preservation.
As for vin on parts Olds did not have a practice prior to 1968 of stamping components with the vin. Your numbers on the head are the indenting mark for a 442 engine.
