This balancer is hanging off the crank of my '69 DZ 302 - what the heck is it from cuz it doesn't look like any Z28 balancer I'ver ever seen

I do not know but not all 302s got the 8"Big Thick Balancer. I think a light weight balancer and light weight fly wheel would rev faster.

The 69's were one year style with the offset timing mark and the extended "Y" shape on the front of the balancer. Don't think service replacement balancers had the assembly line "Y" shape on the front.

So some 67 but all 68 were like the the L-79 harmonic balancer. Were the so called ce 302 were in early 68 the L-79 or the big 8" harmonic balancer. Any help.

on the farm we had a 68 chevy C50 grain truck that had a balancer like that.
