Can someone verify that there is an article in this issue which tested the 1/4 mile ET of a '70 Hemi RR with the 727 and a 4.10 Dana? Was it a pillar coupe or a hardtop? Was it compared to another car? How did it compare?
Thanks! ![]()

'70 Hemi vs. '70 Sixpack RR...Hemi best 13.34/107.52 mph...sixpack best 13.65/104.04 mph Both cars were 4:10 geared/autos. Both were hardtops as described in the article. Sorry, but I don't know the difference in coupes and hardtops with Chrysler. Hemi was Sublime and 6pack was red with blk vinyl top. Bill Stiles drove both cars and did minor tuning to them. First baseline run was 14.35 for the 6pack and 14.31 for the Hemi. Article describes cars as not put together well and leaked at the car wash. Several good pictures in the article.

Both cars are hardtops...no B pillars. Cars were completely stock and identically equipped. The only mods were tire pressure adjustments and air cleaner elements were removed. The cars were picked up new in Detroit and driven 700 miles to Washington, D.C. Testing was then done at York US30 Dragstrip in Pa. 700 miles in a 4:10 geared car would be fun.
