Default Old Super Tricks with center covers

Does anybody know what kind of wheels those were on the early 70's prostockers that looked to be Super Tricks, but had caps that surrounded the lug nuts.I would love to get my hands on a set of those caps for my super tricks. If you arent sure what I am talking about look for later pictures of Grumpy's Toy #8 with the Super tricks on the front.

Looks like a Cragar accessory / cast pot metal and chrome piece.

That's a great subject. I collect old drag racing wheels, mostly Magnesium, but I have always wondered about those aluminum Cragar Super Tricks with the chrome centers. I've NEVER seen a set in person and I've been looking for a long time. I think they're neat and I'd venture to say extremely rare. I wanna say that I've seen them on some early Dick Landy Pro Stock Dodges too. Start a thread over on the HAMB with us. There's a lotta knowledge over there and you'd probably scrounge a set up before the week is out! Good luck and let us know what you find.

John's right..Cragar accessory. They advertised them usually with their chrome "Smoothie" wheel and also could be used on painted stock wheels. I don't remember seeing many of them in the day but they're in the old speed catalogs. You see them used on some of the early super trick wheels mainly on the prostockers. I always speculated they were maybe used to strengthen the thin super trick's center.
