Default Bumper jack plating??

I found a nice 69 bumper jack for my El Camino. I removed the mechanism, It will be blasted and painted black with the base, and lug wrench. I'm wondering what plating should be on the mast. It's the tubular type, not the tee shaped one. It looks like it may have been silver cad? Certainly not gold cad. It could also be nickel plated. Anyone know for sure?

I think there were a couple of suppliers, as some 69 Camaro jacks were gold cad, and others were silver cad. I assume the same would be true with the Elky.

Bill,

Silver cad is what I have seen on the tubular 69 Chevelle/elCamino jacks.
