Default Lola's, Anyone?

I was just kinda curious if anybody here has ever owned or messed around with Lolas. I've seen them with injected, all-Aluminum ZL-1 engines in them and they look like they must absolutlely fly. I was actually standing next to one in a garage a few years back and didn't even know it because it was so low to the ground and covered with junk. I actually thought it was a work bench 'til I noticed it had 15-17 inch rear tires on the back of it! A fellow I knew was telling me one time that while he was road racing his heavily-modified '69 L-88 Corvette at Mid-America Raceway in Wentzille in the early-Seventies that he was barrelling down the long straightaway in 4th gear at probably 160 MPH when this Lola just flew past him like he was standing still! Scared him actually, and he said he realized that he had to get one of them things after it made his Corvette seem like a Corvair!

Mark,
If you like Lola's, Bud Bennett has probably the most well known shop for the restoration of these cars as well as any other vintage racers. He and his sons also race in several vintage series. Here's a link to his website: RM Motorsports
