Default A great little 66 Nova 327/350hp sleeper

One of my favorites!

Bet this would have surprised a few GTO's at stoplights back in the day....

That particular car was in the Imperial Palace collection in Las Vegas.......I bought raffle tickets when the car was up for raffle years ago......It's a nice car but there are some issues with the passenger side quarter panel.....
There is another black L-79 SS at the same auction....it's Clyde Martins and it's the best L-79 resto I have ever seen...

-----This was a really nice Nova the last time I was close to it. The car may be in need of a bit of fluffing but its pretty da#n nice!!! I helped sell it once, and got stiffed on the finders fee, but that doesnt diminish the quality of the car at all..........Bill S

Why does the ad say 67? Typo in multiple places I guess.

Mecum is very confused on that second car. It's clearly a 1966 and they're talking about the few 67's produced (six as far as can be determined). There were almost 5500 Chevy II L79's built in 1966.....and red line tires weren't an option.

I don't mean to hi-jack a thread but do any of you know if a 66 L79 Nova had a 10-bolt rear? I heard that maybe the 3-spd cars got them, and it is possible this car I found had a 3-spd originally. The engine is original, the trans is a 69 Muncie, and the rear is a correctly dated 10-bolt. Still has its original paint, interior, spare, and has never had any type of restoration or detail work done to it. The current owner never knew of the wrong year transmission until we looked at it this past weekend, and he has owned the car for 20 years. He wasn't aware that the car was supposed to have a 12-bolt rear axle either, at least from what I have been told over the years.

If any help, there's a GM Canada documented '66 Acadian L79 3-Spd column 2-Dr. Post car up here in Canada that as much as I ever understood has original drivetrain components and equipped w/ a 12-Bolt 3:08 non-posi..
Below is a link to a thread when it was on the CP site..

What axle code is on yours?.
