I like the Percy's Dead Soft Header Gaskets. The aluminum seals good and they are reusable.

I use Earls on my BBC. A little pricey but worth every penny.

In using the regular Mr. Gasket gaskets with the squared port openings, I found that the corners were some times outside the raised sealing area on the header flange causing an exhaust leak. I ended up going to the gaskets with the small round holes and opening them up to match. Something to keep an eye on.
