My car is running crappy.
Called the last owner and he told me it was 7 years since the Distributor cap/Rotor and Points were touched so i ordered a Pertronix kit, New Distributor Cap and fresh Spark Plugs. I took the distributor out today and i was wondering what all these numbers mean (See Photos) Also have a look at the photo with the Advance springs, there are 2 different ones and the thicker orange one seems to be stretched out. Should i order new Advance springs as well? Was thinking of getting the Mopar P2932675 springs, what do you guys think?? The P2932675 are designed to convert a stock distributor to a quick advance curve in order to optimize the ignition timing. So would this work better than the stock springs i have now to run with the pertronix? Also help decoding the parts would be much appreciated ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() , Thank You

Is this the right location to hook up the Positive wire from the pertronix kit.
I read that running the pertronix directly to the coil positive side is not enough voltage for a 440 with a balister and it will cause the system to burn out. The balister is the best place to connect the positive from the Pertronix as it gives it it's full 12 volts required. Is this correct?? ![]()
