Default Arizona members - help house hunting again?

Had a thread going a few months ago about an opportunity my wife and I have to relocate to Arizona, but it got lost when the server got hacked.

We are in the Scottsdale area through the weekend looking at homes and we saw a place in Queen Creek we liked a lot but know nothing about the area. We plan to go back and look at it again Saturday.

Anyone on here from the area and have any feedback on Queen Creek (good or bad)?

Really appreciate it!

Joe

I'd scratch Queen Creek. Seems a little sketchy...

We're also looking at relocation in the Phoenix area.....somewhere where they get more rain and it's cooler during the summer months.

Ideally you would like somewhere around Flagstaff for the summer and somewhere near Phoenix for the winter. All you need to do is win the lottery first.

Or relocate to San Francisco instead.

Only thing I've ever heard as a downside to the Queen Creek area is there are some locations around there where there are fissures (read: large cracks) in the ground. Several years ago there were a couple articles in the Arizona Republic newspaper discussing the serious problems some homeowners were experiencing. Sam may know more on that issue. Otherwise, it's pretty nice!
