Default My next project a 1940's teardrop camper..LOL

Found my next project a 1940’s cub teardrop camping trailer. This particular model was a kit you would buy and assemble with a flat blade screw driver and an adjustable wrench. Well that was the advertising pitch. Very neat little trailer. It has an all-aluminum body with a steel frame. I just never know what my father is going to bring home for me to fix.

Love the Ireland bumper stickers...

I think you should gut it...add a stove and chimney and make a portable smoker out of it

That is a classic! Love it! Based on the wheels Defineatly late 40s. Good luck with the resto. Plenty of info on the web on these type of trailers. Here is a good forum: http://www.tnttt.com/

Yes I have seen that forum. I am shocked at how rare these things are. They can bring up to 5k restored. They are real basic. I am going to give it a good cleaning. Then take it apart paint the trailer re-seal the joints and use stainless steel screws to re-assemble. Build some new cabinets for the back and maybe add some modern touches to the inside. I'm looking forward to the project.

Tom when I get it all done. You can buy it and replace your upper camp in the woods..LOL
