Default Getting closer on my car

After a decade long break from working on my car (long story) I started back up last summer.

Most of the paint is done. Only stripes laid down so far are on the cowl vent panel (managed to get some white overspray on the black, but it should easily sand off before the final buff.

Shot lacquer over dp90lf. I have decided to leave a little of the orange peel, but am going to wet sand to take a little out. Also decided to go ahead and install the engine and tranny before asttaching the front clip. That way I won't have to worry about dinging things up when I break in the cam and change out valve springs. I am having a guy come out and buff the lower part of the front fenders before the clip is installed so I can put the "Camaro" emblems on. Plan to have the rest of the car buffed professionally buy the same guy (I can paint, but I can't buff and that is a good way to ruin otherwise good paint). IIRC, it is almost impossible to access the nuts for those emblems once the front clip is installed.

Car is 99% original sheet metal. I re leaded the seam between the roof and quarters and took out about 50 hail dents.
Attached are a few pics of the progress. As you can see, the hood is laying up against a closet door. Have I mentioned that my wife is a saint?
Hope to drive it by Feb 1.

Thanks for the compliment Mike.
James. Thanks so much for the detail pics. I have saved several such sets from other original black Z's and will definitely put yours in there. Very consistent with the clues I found on my car upon disassembly. Hate to say it but disassembly on mine was sometime in the 90's. Life interupted several times... But my wonderful wife is very supportive and encouraging, so I have really gotten after it in the last few months. The car has only about 27,000 miles on it (odometer shows 26 and some change, but I drove it back and forth to college in the late 70's with no instrument cluster. Even though low mileage, it lead a VERY HARD life prior to coming in to our family in 1975. Whe I get it all done, I will give Bruce a complete history and some nice pics to post. Even have one from 1975 (but have to retrieve it from Mom's house).

I do have a pile of pics that were taken on disassmbly before digital cameras, but am not even sure where they are. So... I really appreciate all the original photos. JohnZ has been especially helpful. No way could I have accomplished even this much without all the help I get here and from CRG and Team Camaro.

James, thanks especially for the install pic of the washer nozzles. I have my original cowl vent panel, and just looked at it confirming that the nozzles were attached to the panel. I probably would have trien attaching them to the cowl. I also have a bag marked "cowl & trim" with the nozzles that includes two very short sheet metal screws with 5/16 head and little anchor symbols. I am assuming those are the ones for the nozzles. Am I correct?

Hate to get too bogged down on detail, but then, if I have the right parts, want to put them back where they belong.

Have some other questions for you detail guys, but they will have to wait.
