I am looking for an original L78 fan clutch for a 04C Camaro and per the CRG, Jerry's book and this site, I believe the clutch should be a Eaton CZ 3946050 or a Schwitzer 96 fin I have one for another L78 02D car that still has it's born with drive line and fan clutch and that fan clutch has been painted with cast blast in the 80's but has the following measurements/specs:
EATON "CZ" GM 3946050 Outside face and inside face- 80 fins OD measurement accross face 7 1/4" Overall height from water pump face to spring coil face 2 5/8" Face of flange to clutch 1 1/8" The below information was found on line -I cannot confirm Schwitzer "CZ" Outside face ? fins, inside face 96 fins OD measurement accross face 7 1/4" Total length= 2 3/4" (face to back of hub) Thank you SYC and members!! "I want to get my car finished while I still can push in a clutch pedal, 35 years off the road is long enough! Also looking for a pair of March/early April 879/178 exhaust manifolds w/smog in good condition for the same car. Fred
