Default Pure Stock Rules Question

I have been reading through the published rules for Pure Stock. What is mentioned about fuel systems is carbs. What is not mentioned is factory fuel injection. Would that be allowed?

I am in the methodical process of collecting parts for my 62 Corvette that I would like to race in Pure Stock. Just want to know before I start to build around the "fuelie" platform.

After searching around, perhaps I have answered my own question. I see the NHRA recognized the engine and it seems to me the Pure Stock rules package is heavily influenced by the NHRA Stock rules. I still would like to get some direction and confirmation about using the F.I. unit. It would be a struggle to get a decent amount of air through and air cleaner like this.

This being the first time I have considered a build like this, I am starting here. If there is a better place to go for answers, please let me know.

it's legal to run.
my brother ran FI on his '62 vette at pure stocks in 2005. ran best 13.45 at 105 and had a lot left on the table.

Show up at Stanton Mi. this Friday and Saturday and they'll answer any question you want to ask, right there in person.

Best <span style="text-decoration: line-through">car show</span> racing there is, imho.

I really wanted to go and was planning accordingly. I have some business conflicts and just cannot pull it off.

Pontiac, Buick, olds, Chevy , AMC, Mopars, Fords, Mercury, and Studes! Pick a dream car and it probably has raced there! I will be bringing my battleship north with a load of Goodyears. I will be in the grass pits and enjoying a great weekend of cars and friends!
