What to say when owner insists fake Yenko is real?
I was at a big car show this weekend and the owner of a 1969 Yenko had a big plaque in front of the car saying the car was all original including the paint. But paint was too new to be 45 years old, the phoenix graphix stripes were poorly applied, the fender emblems were plastic, and the SYC stickers were peeling off the headrests. When I spoke to the owner, he was very vague with his information and just overall kind of covert in his answers.
As a result, I walked away feeling that it's not fair to true Yenko owners for other people to perpetrate their clones as being real to the public, but I guess there's nothing we can do about it..
