Crossroads Cruise In

Crossroads Community Church had their annual Cruise In today and there were over 450 cars in attendance. Unfortunately the cars were parked door handle to door handle in the parking lot so I didn't take many pictures. Here are a couple of my favorites.

This 67 Nova SS was bought out of a collection in California. It has a 355 on NOS and should run in the 10's. The craftsmanship and attention to detail made it stand out.




This 73 Javelin has a 572 with twin turbos and makes over 2,000hp. It is being prepped for drag week this year. They're shooting for the 6's once everything is sorted out. It was funny how many people walked past calling it a Mustang, Camaro or Barracuda.




This 55 won the preachers choice car of the show. It was built back in the 80's and featured in Super Chevy and Chevy High Performance back then. It was sold and stored in a climate controlled building as part of a large collection for over 20 years. The owner/builder just repurchased it at Auburn last fall. Other than replacing the Webers it had with three-twos, lowering it, and putting on a new wheel and tire combo it is pretty much the same as it was when it was built 30 years ago. It has a 327 with a 4 speed.
