Default 1969 Camaro Bolt and hardware ID

Thought I saw a book somewhere that identifies all the original bolts and hardware used for a 1969 Camaro.

its rare,,its hard to get..

if you can find a GM parts catalog.,,the 8 or 9 inch illustration book the counter man used....and it complete and not missing any sections...there a section on nuts and bolts...you need to look for year specific catalog..like a 69 book or 70 etc..so rare

none of the dealerships cared and most never made the updates to the catalog and those hit the trash

ive had 100+ parts catalogs..and have never see one...i have a friend and his has it..i know a couple members have one...again needle in haystack x10 to get

Nice, trying to get ahold of a friend that worked at a big chevy store for years and hoarded all that stuff.

I have a 1972 GM parts book, 4 bound volumes for all models, I do not recall a nuts and bolts section. Just exploded views for each model and then part number lists with some details (not always helpful (i.e BOLT or NUT ASSEMBLY ). One of the more helpful ways to dig into nuts and bolts is to take the Assembly manual and get the part number of the fastener. The go to the AMK PDF catalog and look the part number up in the cross reference section. Then go to the page reference and find the fastener listed fro the part number. The PDF catalog has a picture and specs on the fasteners. AMK is not always perfectly correct, but most are very close or exact.

Also, here are some good threads on bolt markings on CRG

Even if your lucky enough to find section 8.9 catalogue it does not contain all factory installed hardware. Some assembly line installed and some over the counter replacements.

Kevin thanks for posting the links, I have ALOT of different headmarkings I can add to the list if they are still interested. hanks, Rich.

I have several original covers with sets of original bolts. The leaf spring and shock mounting plate hardware is stuff I do not have.

Yup, just checked my books, they jump from section 8.8 to 9.0, no section 8.9

PMs sent, I have a power point slide show that I put together using bolts that Rich (enoch) has listed for sale here on sYc in the past. I use it to help me ID bolts for chevelles but it has some camaro bolts as well so it is not exclusive to Camaro but it might help. I can send it to anyone interested just need an email. I can be reached at [email protected]. take care Andy
