My car painter asked if I can help him find a tricarb setup for a mid 60s pontiac. Thus posting here.
He may be able to get the manifold. Would be nice if its from chicagoland - wisconsin area as it could be easy to drive to pick up. Way out of my element. bob 630 485 1107 |

theres specifics you need to know..64 down only works on 64 down
65 is one year and works 65 to the late 70s...it has a small center carb 66 is the one everyone wants...it has the large center carb..and like 65 it works for the modern motors better off buying one restored than buying one and then restoring it gets out of hand ... Bruce Harbeck is a good guy,,,Mike Watson is a good guy... id be careful in buying one as advertised as rebuilt unless theres proof of a known guru etc..find a reputable person..they have issues with age etc..and you will pull your hair out without some help...unless you know them inside out..they have idle issues that need attention...the correct carb thing, make a diff on price etc.. expect to pay 800 to 1200 for a 65 needing resto..and 1000 to 1500 for a 66 needing restored... 1800-2400 for a bolt on from a reputable guy

For reference, I just sold a 1966 setup that recently came off a runner (unrestored) for $1250.
