That last pic showing factory panel fit is interesting. It probably typical of how a lot of cars were built in 1967.

Very nice!! I have a question about the air cleaner though. No snorkel on the body? Is that a Chevelle thing? I don't recall seeing them without 'em.

Beautiful car, and in my favorite color. Looks the engine compartment has been freshened a bit. The trunk looks like a time capsule. Thanks for sharing.....

I will defer to 67 experts, but my guess is that someone cut the snorkel off. As I recall, all 325hp SS396 Chevelles (66 thru 69) had a snorkel on the air cleaner.

Regarding the door / quarter panel fit in the last picture, my unrestored 69 convertible looks the same way....bottom rear side of the passenger side door sticking out.

That is what a 49 year old car looks like when it's in a garage all its life! Love original cars! Makes one think of the car sitting in a dealership waiting to be bought. Kudos to the family who kept it so nice.

I told them as much that the car is very desirable and would easily sell.

The brother inlaw has a son who did not want the car 8 years ago however the couple have no children and are leaving the car to the original owner's son. They did say that the son is glad that his father did not sell it and that his uncle is taking care of it.
