From CRG (http://www.camaros.org/suspen.shtml#steer)
"Note that the same pitman arm forgings were used for both manual and power steering, but the splined holes for the attachment to the steering box were different sizes."

Not sure, never had one of each side by side to compare difference. My car has the manual steering box but I haven't pulled the pitman arm yet.
I have an idea that the output shaft on a PS box is a larger diameter than on the manual version (in the same was as the drag link is a larger diameter with PS), but hopefully someone else can confirm and answer your Q.

Further to previous post, just looked at a manual box that has a 227 pitman on it, and the arm has a 'M' stamped on it near the splined hole. Wonder if they have 'M' or 'P' to denote application?
