Default 1969 nova big block springs

Looks like I'm gonna have to change out my front coil springs,my car hasn't had a big block in 40 years and no engine in close to 20.with complete engine and trans in the car,the front suspension is streched as far as it can go.this is a car of my buddies with a big block 4 speed and new moog
6320 coil springs. I'm wanting mine to set 2" or so higher. Any suggestions on a spring.

You could try an aftermarket race coil like santhuff. They have different rates available and are a loooog coil. I've stuffed them in a BB 69 Camaro before and needed to trim about a coil off to get down to ride height. They are "drag" springs though but if it's sitting that high up handling will already be compromised a little.

They are a BEAR to install. We used a "through the shock hole" style compressor to pull the spring into the pocket and still had to drop the control arm bolts to get them in (at original length).

I ordered big block springs from Eaton...1" taller than stock...1970 Nova with L78 and TH400. we wanted the old school day 2 drag look...I think the look is perfect. We have 15 x 6 wheels on the front with 215/75r15 tires/235's on the rear. I don't think you want to go higher than that...steering will be compromised.

ps...they were a bear to install...that spring compressor was like a hand grenade...I'm glad it didn't go off

Yes, Oh yes! That is the stance I want for my BB Camaro. I love that aggressive stance. If not a part number, as Craig asks, a list of specs to ask for??

As far as the spring "going off" like a grenade, we always took an old seat belt, male & female, bolt them together and buckle and pull the strap tight, for safety, FWIW.

I ordered those springs a long time ago...but, here is how I did it.

Contacted Eaton...gave them the year, make, model, engine/trans/options

Pretty sure I told them 1" higher than stock and that's what they sent me.

https://www.eatondetroitspring.com/coil-springs/

Keep in mind, the size of wheel and tire profile/height will impact how the tire looks in the wheel well. I also replaced the control arm bushings, sway bar ends, lower ball joints and front shocks during the process. I'm pretty sure the original springs were coded HH on the tags. If I can locate the purchase details I will share them...if not I'll call Eaton, maybe they have a record of the sale.
