I am a new bee. Little back story. I just purchased a chevelle from a guy whom had 7- z28 cars 68-69 and parts .which make me think maybe possible Sita 302. I am converting the auto trans to 4 speed was Looking at the motor numbers and came up with casting number 3970010 and another number on front of black by alternator of c4z126869. My buddy is telling me it's a rare 302 block.? Any thoughts ? I am a doubting Thomas think to good to be true

The 010 block was used in several vehicles. It came in 2 bolt and 4 bolt variances. It was used for several years. See if you can get the datecode on the back of the block.
