Default New Garage

On a budget, so a post frame, no frills building. Goal was just to get roof on and do more as weather allows. 32'X32'X12'. 12' so eventually a couple of 4 post storage lifts can be added. A 10' X 32' loft in the rear is planned. I designed this for 3 cars with either 3 more in the rear or 2 long ways. So, at least a 5 car without shoe horning and the ability to go up for more storage. The door closest to the house is wider to accommodate opening car doors easily as our everyday vehicle will reside there. The yard falls off steep on the LH and rear side, so this dictated the size.

Looks good. How did you go about picking a contractor or are you serving as the general?

I live in an Amish/ Mennonite area. The Amish did the whole job shown in 1 day! Although I have experience with building, I thought it best to let them do what they did and I will finish as I have literally piles of lumber and metal siding taking up valuable room in my shop.

Bentley, I am impressed ! Good design with lots of flexibility. Knowing your property that is a decent location. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure - any problem with me storing some cars in your new garage? Great job Bentley.

I still need to get off the fence and decide on a design for mine.

No, I am not building a sand box. My new building has one corner that drops off sharply. About 3 feet. I have been puttying up the retaining walls to fill in the area.

I also found these over head lube reals and drain tank. Just thought they would be cool and they were cheap.

Thanks Sam. When you asked earlier about storing some cars? Can I drive them? LOL
