Putting together a M-21 transmission for a 69 Copo Camaro. Not sure on the drive gear and driven gear for the speedo. It has factory XT 14inch wheels and a 4.10 ratio rear. Not sure if it uses a speed reducer?what would the teeth count be on those two gears?thanks

you need the reducer, I think it is the same as a Yenko Deuce, Marlin can confirm this

Johnnyyyyy, you will never drive it that far or that fast for the speedo to even register!

You do not need a reducer, you need a orange 25 tooth driven gear. That is what I have in my Camaro with stock 14's and 4.10, and the speedo is spot on at 60. Not sure what my drive gear is ?
And Sammy is right, you might not ever need the speedo... Mike |

25 tooth is what I run with a 4.56 rear (original 4.10). Never had a reducer on my camaro or nova or even my original 69 SS nova from new. John, you better be looking straight ahead when you let that clutch out and put that peddle down. Easy 11 second car on the street with your motor prowness, maybe faster. Go Johnny Go

My former 69 L78 survivor with 12k miles had the reducer same as the Yenko Deuce, you know John likes to make things correct.
