Default NOS 69 Camaro center AC vent query

SOLD on eBay FYI.

Question for the sYc hive mind please:

I have the attached NOS vent center duct assembly - I cannot read the part tag anymore and it's clearly original with the casting number 331981 and I believe it to be a 1969 Camaro piece part number 3937166 but all the repops seem to have a switch / adjuster knob on the right hand side, but this one does not, is that a change / revision that happened or what? Or something that original assembly line / OTC ones have and the repops just added (so they work for other models)? Curious.

Any input welcome & thanks in advance, be well everyone.
Anthony

Cool piece. My original cars always had that little adjuster knob on the center outlet. I didn't own them from new though.

Thanks for the replies and PMs guys!

My car doesn't have AC, so I'm not that familiar with those parts...

That said, a quick Googling found this:

https://www.camarocentral.com/1969_C...p/das-225u.htm

Anything to the info in that link on this? Any one here with an original AC '69 that knows it hasn't been tampered with that can confirm or deny? Thanks again.

Yes, once I confirm what this is / that it's a real and genuine NOS GM piece, then it will be for sale.

Cheers all, appreciate the help.

Mine has the flapper knob. Unrestored original car. Slim chance it was changed by one of the 2 previous owners.

Thanks, and that's original / assembly line?

Appreciate the input.

Anyone else, is this a revision / change then for OTC pieces?

Cheers all, be well!
