Hey guys, I have a mostly complete 1969 Camaro shifter setup. Body, Big block rods, tabs, mounting bracket and hardware. I was looking for some help date coding the shifter body. Numbers as follows: 890731C
My understanding is this is a date code? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rob

The first and or second digit is the month. To clarify two digit months use the first two. The example you posted 89 = Aug of 1969 another example 118 = Nov 1968. This applies to 3138 oem shifter body not other non oem Hurst shifter housings.
