Default 69 Yenko Nova..........

Has anyone here ever seen the silver 69 Yenko Nova that was a drag car in the late 80's? I saw the car at SCS Indy in July 88 and have not seen it since. The car sported a clear rear facing hood scoop, rally wheels, modified Yenko striping, and had the Yenko badges on the fenders and one on the tailpanel. Was this car a true car?..................RatPack..................... ....

There was a car very similar to what you have described here in eastern PA several years ago. The car was a drag car with a 383 in it, silver, black stripes, and the scoop. When I asked him about it, he told me he liked the stripes and threw them on. The car was sold shortly thereafter.

Marlin, I will have to check and see if I have any pictures laying around of this car. At the time I had never seen a 69, only the Deuces and the car intrigued me................RatPack......................... ....

Marlin, check out the attachment. I was throwing out some old Super Chevy magazines that got wet and found this picture. Is this the same car you were thinking about? This is from the July 88 SCS in Indy and is the car that I remember seeing....................RatPack...............

Thanks for the pic. The car I remember looked similar, but not the same scoop. This car also looks like it might have '70+ front fenders on it. I have heard of a silver '69 Yenko Nova in OH, many years ago, but could never get back in touch with the guy. Same car? I don't know, cool pic though.

I thought the same thing on the fenders but I could not tell if those were the marker light bezels with the engine size. The scan was not done on a high resolution so it is not very clear. This car may have been from Ohio, tag on the front does not look like PA.?...................RatPack.................... .....
