Default Hot Rod Magazine

I need some help finding my car in Hot Rod Magazine. It is a 56 Chevy 2 door sedan and was supposed to have been in the magazine in the early to mid 70s. It is solid green with a brown leather interior. It was owned by a man named Sam. I don't expect anyone to pull out all of their magazines and look through until you find it but if you happen to come across it please let me know what issue it is in. Unfortunately it needs to be restored but it is complete except for a few trim parts. Pictures of the car in its current condition can be seen here and here. Thanks.

I have all Hot Rod issues from 1970-1973. I'll take a look. Are the aluminum slot wheels the same ones that were on the car when in Hot Rod Mag?

Thank you.

As far as I know, the car has all the same parts on it now as it was in the magazine. Nothing was changed on the car from its last inspection in 1985 until the time I bought it a few months ago. I have done a few minor things. Changed oil, filter and battery. That filter was tough to change.

I have just about all the car mags from '70-'80 and have never seen this car in Hot Rod, Car Craft etc. Probably read each one 15-30 times. I used to be a 55-57 nut and would have remembered the car. Could it have been in one of the lessser known titles as Chevy Power, Street Action etc.? Hot Rod did a 55-57 Spcial issue in '74 or '75 and had a bunch of 1 photo deals kinda like reader rides. It may have been in there.

It may have been in another mag but I remember many years ago that Sam said that it was Hot Rod. He was not too talkative about the car when I bought it from him recently as he really did not want to sell it.
