bringing back a older topic but I was up stairs garage attic and come across a firestone wide oval raised white letters. Might be one of my original tires but not sure how to read the dates, not much thread but has the small letters. It reads wide oval F 70 14 Firestone deluxe champion dot 147 00001 RLSL , could be my second set my Dad could not believe how fast the first set went lol. I had a gentlemen contact me the other day and the date coding was not anywhere close to this and the tire was produced in 1979.
