my friend is looking at buying this car, just wondering if the vin has any info on what kind of engine it came with..vin # ws23l8a13xxxx thanks for any help

It sure does!
 Try this link: Mopar #'s deciphering In short, you have W= Dodge Coronet/Charger S= Special, R/T 23= 2 Dr Hrdtop L= 440 375HP 1-4bbl 8 cyl 8= 1968 A= Lynch Road, MI plant 13XXXX= sequence number or 3X,XXXth vehicle.
