For those of you who follow the NASCAR Whelen Modifieds, I was just contacted by a friend of mine who is attending the Thompson Speedway race tonight. Driver John Blewett III was involved in a serious accident. He has been air-lifted from the race track, and his car has been covered by a blue tarp ( In circle track racing, thats a very BAD SIGN ). All other drivers have refused to return to racing, and the fans have left the grandstands.
Will post again when I have official word on his condition ![]()

He didn't survive the crash. John was a good guy and local hero at Wall Twp Speedway here in NJ. We'll miss him. God Speed John.
