Hey guys...Thanks again in advance...
i just found this air cleaner Ive had for years...is it real GM?? Sure looks it...I assume a Chevelle?? Any help would be appreciated... |

Definitely a repro lid... a cheap one at that. Look where the wingnut goes... an original one is recessed much deeper...the edge/lip is different on a real one too. The base appears to be an original GM piece. Someone probably bought a cheap 15.00 air cleaner to replace the original pitted lid. Here's what a real GM lid looks like, the differences should be pretty obvious:
