Default How many black Yenko Deuces?

I was on a plane last night and struck up a conversation with the guy next to me, talking about old cars.
He didn't seem to be a real hard core "car guy" but, he asked me if I was familiar with Yenko cars. He mentioned that he had a high school buddy who had purchased a Yenko Deuce from the original owner back around '72. This was his friends daily driver in senior year of high school (Wow!). I asked him if he recalled what color it was and he said it was black; did they make black Deuces?
Of course his friend no longer has the car but, it obviously left a lasting impression on this guy.

He said he lived in the Hazelton, Pa. area now; not sure if that's where he went to HS or not. Just thought it might be an interesting story and thought maybe that car might be alive and in the hands of one of the members here.

No original black ones. Either someone didn't like Don's color options and had it painted,(many are not the original color) or he was incorrect on his information.
To bad there wasn't any though. They look cool that color.

Does anyone have more pics of this black car? I would love to see more of it with the L88 hood.

Most Gobi Beige Deuces ended up painted black, something about the gobi made excellent primer after a few years in the sun....
