Default 1979 Z28 survivor

Saw this on C-List. Not mine but with the sudden resurgence in late 2nd gen Camaro/ Trans Am.... thought I would post it. Don't see too many in red.

That's a pretty nice car, I remember when I was a kid I had a 79 z28 black with a 350 and 4 speed. That was a fun car

I had a 1978 Z28, 2 tone blue with light blue interior. 350, 4 speed close ratio Super T10, 3.73 OPEN rear. Build sheet called out open rear. I couldn't believe it. Dumping the clutch at 5k the car left two marks 40 feet down the street. Pulled the cover and sure enough, open carrier. Who orders a Z28 with a 4 speed, and then can't afford the $45 postraction option?
