Nostalgia Drags, Sealy TX April 10-11

Hey Gang,

I wanted to post up and let all the Central SE members know that this coming weekend, April 10th-11th is the "Meet the Legends" Nostalgia Drag Races and carshow in Sealy, TX at the Lonestar Motorsports Park. All kinds of vintage drag racers, muscle cars, etc, and a really good carshow attendance too. Here's the link Races and that explains it all. Friday night is the "run what you brung" night, and gives you an opportunity to race and see what you car does against other equally matched cars....like staion wagons, Kias, and the homeless. Saturday starts the actual races.

I'll be there Friday night and Saturday racing &quot;The Beater Bee&quot;! [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif[/img] It'll be the last outing for the car since I'll be starting the restoration when I get it back home after the races now that my new shop is finally organized enough to get it in there! So come on out with your cars and race! Why not? But, I can tell you if you line up next to me in the staging lane, you'll be going home a loser. Why can I be so confident? Because you'll look across the lanes at me trying to start my car after it stalls after my burnout and start laughing hysterically, that you'll miss the green light and I'll walk right past you! See? Looks like they cancelled this event. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif[/img] I'm pretty bummed, but what can you do? I guess they had some &quot;issues&quot; according to one of the event coordinators. Supposedly it's moved until late September or October.

I guess the restoration starts a little earlier than expected!!!
