Year and application of SB oil pan?
Hi Gang, I can’t place it’s origins.
Can anyone help with application and value? Thanks, Dan

Exterior is very similar, but not exactly like a '67 Chevelle 327. Inner baffle is stamped different. Small drain plug too. No idea of value Dan.

69 to 74 small block would be my guess.
You can measure the front lip as shown in this thread: https://www.camaros.net/threads/nos-...l-pans.178450/ Pretty sure the Z/28 pan and the L48 pan were the same externally. The Z pan just had the two rails to mate up to the baffle that bolted in.

Dan,
That's a 283 pan from a mid 60's B Body application. It was so identified by the seller when I bought the identical pan at a swap 10 years ago all because it had a valuable "A" embossed pan plug in it. I paid 20 dollars for both the plug and the pan at that time. I still have it. |

I realize the drain plug could have been changed; but through 67 (maybe 68?) I believe the hex on the drain plug would be much larger. Didn't the 9/16 hex started in 68 or 69?

I needed the "A" plug for my 67 pace car. Here is an auction for a pitted example.
