I was talking to a friend who raced a 1970 Camaro. I remembered while talking to him there used to be a unusual story about that car. He explained it was bought brand new as a rolling chasis no engine no trans in primer and came with no title or vin it was picked up at the factory. He said theese cars were only sold to some choosen racers they were called white on frame cars. Anybody ever hear of something like this.

They were bodies in white. If you look in a gm performance parts catalog in the 80'-90's they where available. Maybe something similar in the 70's? Roger

I spoke with a gentleman that grew up in the Chicage area. He remembers walking into Nickey Chev and seeing these cars. If you want contact info on him, send me a PM. I though the story was very strange.
