Default 1970 'Cuda 340 vert

Here's a 1970 'Cuda that needs total resto. The fender tag decodes it as a 340/275hp, 3 spd manual trans, Vitamin C Orange and plymouthbarracuda.net shows it as 1 of 19 covertibles built with this drivetrain combo. Thanks to njsteve for the help decoding the tag

Those production figure are for US-spec only. Canadian and exports were not included in those numbers. Mopar stuff can be quite difficult at times!

Anyone who visits moparts.com may recognise this 'Cuda. There are 3 pics in the photo section, 'Cars in yards' thread, page 1, halfway down the page. The captions read 340 Cuda/4 speed/6 pak. Who took 'em or when they were taken, I couldn't guess.
You can see that it was hit in the front, but the good news is that it still has the original 340 engine & probably the orig rear. Looks like the trans may not be, but the #'s were very difficult to read. My plan is to use the orig engine & restore it back to it's original appearance. Funds are tight, so it'll probably sit a while longer. The OD reads 5571

I'm really diggin' that chopper in the foreground! As far as that 'Cuda convertible, those things are worth so much money right now and that car needs so much work, I'd sell it and immediately buy a nice turn-key car. When I see a car like that now, I just think of every spare evening hour and weekend gone, laying under it, rust flakes in your eyes, etc. Not to mention, the drain on one's bank account securing NOS 'Cuda parts! Good luck.
